Patrol Division 

The Sturgis Department of Public Safety Police Division is staffed by 14 Patrol Officers providing 24 hour coverage to the City of Sturgis. Officers assigned to the Patrol Division typically work 12 hour shifts responding to 911 calls for assistance, traffic crash investigations as well as proactive traffic enforcement. Each shift is supervised by a Patrol Sergeant who is responsible for the daily operations of the shift. Officers assigned to the patrol division may also serve in a variety of specialty assignment to include evidence technician, accident investigator, K9 Officer and member of the St. Joseph County Special Response Team.
